OEM vista ship on 12th?

From Odd post i have seen OEM vista gets ship out 12th so could have it on satday (prob not by then but latest tuesday)

Is this true as i have laptop thats acting up and i wonting to be useing it next thursday on bussines trip i am on , and dont wont to reinstall xp pro just for few days to have to do it again.
 
Your choice, but i'd be reluctant to install a BRAND NEW OS then take the PC away on a business trip.. especially on a notebook where drivers are concerned.
 
Check drivers out there all ok every one :) :cool:

since i have few days before i go i know if theres aproblem but since it be use for internet and moveing files around on flash drive and office should be ok

just dont wont all hassle of loading xp on just to do back up reinstall again
 
OCUK have a special deal to get the OEM copies early

When I phoned up and ordered it with Saturday delivery on Tuesday (9th) at 1 o'clock they said that they'd aim to get them all out for same day shipping but as they already had 2,500 pre-orders they couldn't guarentee it
 
wow 2,500 wounder how many of them were the one's that said there not geting OEM as wast of time lol

well order my sunday with royal mail dilvery
 
If you have pre-ordered it do you think they will let you collect it from the shop ? Only live about 30 mins away
 
It looks like the dates have been pushed back to the 19th now.

Im trying to get in contact to get my current order split, so I can get the rest of the stuff I ordered right away.
 
On the product detail page, it says ETA: 19/01/07 now, for all of the OEM.

edit: Now im confused. I just got an email off the guys at OC who say it IS coming tomorrow.

Which is it?

but it could be change to 26th Jan if change by next week... it still say 19th Jan but not sure if it release on this date but think it could be move to other week to 26th or later.

most drivers will be avaiable for both 32 and 64 bits but it not ready yet - some are beta version so just wait until next month.

Maybe they're only getting a certain number in tomorrow which they've already sold and the next shipment isn't arriving until the end of the next week?
 
When I've pre-ordered stuff with them before they've taken payment at the time of the pre-order - not sure if it's changed with the new site though

At the moment I'm still hoping that it will be here tomorrow. I think that it is rather likely that they've sold out of their first shipment, hence posting an alternative date and giving a reason why to new customers

I pre-ordered it a few days ago, and, like the other poster in this thread, have been assured that stock is arriving on Friday

OCUK take the money as soon as you place an order/pre-order, the reason for this is incase people don't have the funds in their account when they ship the goods.
 
I have been told by a member of staff here at OC that they will be shipping Vista tomorrow. I can only hope that I get my copy, because I need the case ive ordered together with it, to build my new PC.

If it doesnt get shipped tomorrow, I mayaswell cancel the order and pick the case up seperate.

However, I was assured my complete order will be shipping tomorrow, Vista and all.
 
Gimpymoo says he just got off the phone to ocuk though,

and that MS have delayed shipment till the 19th?

Will that effect all orders, or will some be shipping.

I would just go in and get ya case mate.
