I seem to remember someone on here mentioning that Vodafone were changing their data pricing from the 1st March. Can anyone confirm what the new pricing structure will be?

Vodafone are bringing out new data bundles on 1st March.

£7.50 per month gives you a 100mb bundle. Anything over this or if you do not purchase the bundle will be charged at the following rates:

The first 25mb of usage per day will have a set £1 charge, anything over 25mb per day will then be charged at £1 per mb.

However, on 1st March, Vodafone live will be charged to browse for all users in the same way off-net browsing is. At the moment VF live is free to use, but from march it will follow the same prices as outlined above.

FFS!

First they stopped data/MMS being included in the free text bundles, now this. Surely both of these must amount to breach of contract and unfair increase in tariffs and justification for early termination of a contract? Free VL was one of the main reasons I switched to Vodafone.

I am sure in the small print of your contract they will have covered themselves.

This will be good news if true. I've always ended up coming back to vodafone for the network coverage and customer service, only downside being the data charges have been a bitter pill to swallow. 7.50 for 100mb will be perfect for me.

charging for vodafone live doesn't bother me, i don't think i've ever used it, i don't even know how to get to it.

What's the rate if you use less than 25mb a day, without being on the £7.50/100Mb option?
There is a £1 cap for anything up to 25mb a day. If you used 2mb in a day its a one off daily charge of £1, if you use 10mb its a one of daily charge off £1, if you use 25mb its a one off daily charge of £1.

Not sure when the details are being made public if thats what you mean. Probably in the last week or two of february it will get put on the website.

Damn!

I use Vodfone live! at least a few times a day. I use it to find out the latest news as well as sport scores.
It was also one reason why i chose vodafone over other networks.

I swear mobiles are getting more expensive, for me they hit a nice peak about 4 years ago, when i got 400 minutes cross network (inc 0845 numbers) and 500 texts a month (inc international and multimedia messages) for £30 a month.

The pricing structures themselves haven't changed, but they're slowly stripping out the extra's you get like 0845 going towards your free minutes, when its a local rate number i don't see what the difference is.

This is why i pulled right out of the market and settle for my 2 year old sony payg, daylight robbery.

Shame Vodafone are only giving 100Mb/month, when T-Mobile are offering 1Gb/month, for the same price. That said, I'm still tempted. Would be nice to be able to use email/upload photos without worrying about the charges.
