New Vista 8800 drivers soon : 100.54

As a slight diverson does anyone have "Sleep" working while using these? I just get a black screen then an auto re boot.

I hear that the fixes may include.....

It's unified and not just for the 8800.
The standby mode blue screens are fixed
SLI may be supported
Control panel is basically the same as 100.30
It looks like the aero & media center issue is not fixed
Doesn't seem to be signed, so not sure what happens with x64, maybe f8

And see what Guru3D says here http://www.guru3d.com/

They have it but are covered by NDA so we have to wait for a leak or the 30th.

TBH i would have expected proper drivers out by then for vista, nvidia suck. :p

anyone tried some games in vista with the leaked drivers ?

they work ok for a while then start chugging and loads of graphical issues for me and it gets gradually worse !

either manky drivers or a borked 8800GTS i hope its the latter :D

That happens for me aswell on the 100.30's (7800GTX), works fine for an hour or two, then everything becomes very jerky, almost like textures are being swapped out of memory, and it is having to keep moving them back in. If I restart the game it starts working ok again though.

100.51's seem very fast. I havn't had XP on my machine for a while, does anyone have any benchmark comparisons?

The 32bit 100.51's are very fast, my vista machine is going as quick as my xp machine was now playing source games, very happy :)

Well I installed 64 bit vista last night dual booting with XP everything went fine.

Until I checked for a driver for my XFI...

Guess what...?

No 64 bit vista driver for the xfi

What a bummer :(

dude, stick to x86 untill at least 1 month after the 30th for drivers to be supported under x64

x64 will be supported more than the x64 version was with vista becuse no driver under x86 can be signed by microsoft unless there is a x64 version to go with them ;)
