Typical Modern British Apathy... No wonder we get ripped off with the defeatist attitude I am hearing, what happened to great British bulldog spirit? Ah yeah, stick it to the brits, they aint got no backbone any more, they just roll over and take it. It sickens me.
 
Why is the petition on the government website, what the hell can they do about it, a company can charge whatever they want, also shipping products into this country is more expensive due to vat, duty and import taxes.

I agree funnily enough ;) but just to single out one entity of "overcharging" is a little unfair!

Problem is if people are willing to pay then surely companies can charge what they like!

You answered your own question, its because of the vat, import taxes etc that the government put on it.

Although this petition will do less than nothing to change anything, so I won't even bother signing it.
 
Dear God, when will people learn to stop wasting their time with internet petitions. They do absolutely nothing and are generally only started so that the person who first had the idea feels important.

No serious business would listen to an internet petition.

Everyone needs healthcare but no-one needs Vista.

If you think it's too expensive then don't buy it. Microsoft will soon change their policy on UK/European pricing.

Agreed, although I'm annoyed at the price, there's not much we can do about it bar avoid the product.
