Hey all,

I got a 400D + kit lens + 70-300APO.

I'm a bit of an keen backpacker, and like to travel with the minimal possible, often only involving a ruck sack (not a huge backpack). I'm after something that allows me to hold the above kit and pretty much as much clothing as possible.

I've been looking at some of the crumpler range, mainly the "The Customary Barge" the their website. The key thing is it needs to be 100% water proof, as well as fit a few bits of clothing in.

Anyone know of any other brands of bags that do a camera rucksacks not JUST for holding camera bits.?

Cheers guys

Chris.

Check our Lowepro's website mate, they have a full range of all-weather camera bags, one of which will surely suit your needs. :)

You sure you want a backpack? I got annoyed with mine when i was backpacking (having to stop, take it off every time you wanted to do something). I'm now looking to get a Crumpler-type shoulder bag. Far easier/quicker to get in and out of.

If your looking for a compact bag I recently got a Lowepro Nova 1 AW, holds my 400D, kit lens, 50mm f1.8 and EF28-105mm all with lens hoods, also spare batteries, memory cards, cleaning cloth ect.

I take my D80 and a couple of lenses hillwalking with me regularly. The camera goes in a Lowepro case, and the spare lens in a Lenswrap, and they just sit on top of my rucksack (a rather nice Deuter), inside the waterproof liner. If it's a nice day, and I want it closer to hand, I clip the camera case onto my waistbelt...

And here it is :)

Cheers for the input guys.

I'm thinking of "Lowepro Orion Trekker II"

I know what you mean about making it easily accessible, I've already got a holster kind of bag as well already.

Just need to make sure I can take it all as carry on.
