so i jus got a 14 day free trial of eve online

and i did the tutoral bit died and couldnt work out how to get back to station so i jus made a new char and skiped the tutoral

so im at the station, and no clue what to do :P any tips for starting out ie quick way to make a bit of cash, get a better ship etc

Loads of people on here play, you should get a ton of info.

When I played it the tutorial just messed with my head :(
 
ive started to mine stuff, just warping to an astreroid field mining then going selling.

not made much cash tho.
tutoral was a bit complicated but got thru it.

but when u start proper not being told what to do at all got me a bit lost in how to start

seems like quite a complicated game. will take a while to get use to i think, but ive only got 13 days left on trial.

i jus need to be pointed in the general right direction
 
best thing to do is search the web for a good corp, with people who could help you out. Join that and ask some people to get you started, go out and kill some stuff or go mining, get some money then start doing missions.
 
how the hell can you die during the tutorial? the rats do like 0.01 damage? you go AFK or somthing?

that kinda stuff happens when you jump to the wrong place
once when I was teachin a noob how to play he jumped to a 0.0 (PF-346) and got ganked
he was so annoyed that he jumped back into the system to (and I quote) "give them a piece of my mind!"
he got ganked again. I gave up at that point tbh.
 
DO the tutorial or youll get lost

mine for a bit do some agent missions ask questions in your local corp channel if you figure out the game youll like it but be warned its really really hard to get your head around but when you do its cool

ocuk corp you say ? anyone here who can tell me about it? whats the requirements for joining?

i dunno about corps thus far ive just plodded around on my own in safe space hehe i hear its dangerous out there :P
 
visited the site i signed up but feel a tad under skilled for joining the corp just yet theres stuff people are on about and i have no clue lol plus ive never even been to 0.0 space yet lol

we are not a 0.0 corp, we are a carebear corp.

We take totally new players like yourself, provide help in anyway we can, whether it be simple questions, mission help, mining, training advice. You name it, we help you with it (apart from PvP). There isnt a better place to learn the game!

We even supply modules, weapons and ammo to help you out.

All they ask is that you try and join in one of the weekly mining ops, these ops are used to generate minerals for the corp to produce items for the corp and to sell. You get points for the time you spend mining, these points are built up and you can use them to buy ships that the corp has BPO/BPCs for!
