Relating to Firingsquad.com, nVidia will release a new S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-optimized graphics-driver for the GeForce 8 - series next week.
The new optimized driver should increase the performance especially on GeForce 8800GTX cards, because these cards aren't much faster than their "little brother", the 8800GTS, when playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. with current available drivers. Additionally the new driver should provide the missing SLi-functionality in the game.

Rather chuffed to hear this :D ,

Really hope they fix the 1:1 pixel mapping issue on this update, very annoying to play 1600x1200 res stretched to 1920x1200.

Well hopefully the new ATI 7.3s improve stalker today :)

I'd be more on the lookout for the new AA mode ATi are putting in, never the less that will be useless in S.T.A.L.K.E.R  .

Is EATM still not in? I have been waiting for that since long before my X1900 died. :(

You're also correct, it wouldn't be worth a damn in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Nope still not in :( , I have a feeling they will make it official when the R600 is released as this could be used to promote the new GPU.

I love it when they release optimised drivers weeks or months after a game is released when everybodys completed it already and lost interest...

Exactly they should already be on the ball with all the new releases, its how it SHOULD be done, "nVidia The way it's meant to be played" pff, yea right.
