Alright got my HR03 today and it was quite easy to install, only complaint is that the adhesive on the RAM sink seems rather weak? But it does stay on.

My stock temps for my BFG 8800GTX OC'd to 600mhz core was 60C idle 79-80C loaded and with this installed and a Scythe S-Flex blowing onto it, it now idles at 43C and goes up to 53C fully loaded. This is still with a fresh batch of AS5 so I expect it to drop by 2-3C over the course of the next few days.

Overall very impressed and wouldnt hesitate to recommend this cooler to all the 8800GTX owners out there.

I have one on my X1900XT 512mb as the stock one was too loud!!

Hope I can move it over to an 88** in th future in that case..

I think its a great cooler too :)

I am afraid it wouldnt fit as the one that fits the 1900XT are Rev A and the one that fits the 8800GTX only is the Plus, it has different mountings and 2 extra heatpipes

does the Plus fit the 8800GTS as well, assuming it does since its the same PCB layout and mounting holes isn't it?

should be the only difference in the gts and gtx in the memory size and it has 1 less power connector

It currently isnt capatible with GTS as the HSI chip heatsink doesnt mount properly, Thermalright is suppose to be shipping the GTS HSI heatsink with the HR03 Plus at the start of April.

Oh my bad

I'll seel it along with the card at the right time then.

Thanks

That's one awesome cooler! Good stuff!

I find most of the memory heat sinks bundled with coolers like this seem to have ill sticking adhesives. My zalman fatal1ty's pretty much dropped off any time i moved anything near the card! They do stick eventually but need a couple of days of heat cycling as the card moves between load and idle!

Glad it's doing such a great job! :)

how many slots does it take up ive just seen a review where they postioned it to take up 4 slots and 1 for the fan to breath

The way I have it orientated (the way that takes the most space) I am unable to use 3 of my PCI slot underneath the PCIE slot but there is one PCI slot above my 8800GTX free, no big deal really as I dont have any PCI cards. The motherboard is an Asus Commando.

If I had a camera, I would have taken pics already but I ll try get hold of one of my mates tomorrow. Also the case temp pretty much stayed the same as unlike the stock cooler, the free running fan helps circulate the air around the case minimising hot spots and the air being blown from the HS is luke warm at most.

get a pic up.
i want to dee how much difference there is to the one i have:
