Ok its time to buy some better ram.
At present i have got some corsiar value selct ram. x1 1gb and x2 512 sticks.

Im going to be overclcoking my cpu. Hopefully when the replacement motherboard arives. anyhow. it will be the same motherboard as in my sig.
i Play a lot of games. and have no qualms about overclcoking the ram.
My questions are this,

I will have around or just over £200 to spend, i couldnt ask for a better wife lol anyhow

I do not know which ram to buy. since to be honest i have always purchased cheap ram, times are a changing. here is my list.

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-8500 1066MHz SLI-Ready Edition

Or

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-8500 1066MHz Reaper HPC Edition

Or

Team Xtreem 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 PC2-8000C5 1000MHz

Or

Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-6400C4 TwinX

Or

Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C4 TwinX

Or

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz

Or

Thinking of getting x2 sets of this to make 4gb of ram across x4 1gb sticks

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series

Since i mostly use vista ultamate 64 bit, it will over come the 3gb limit in xp

Or

Team Xtreem 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel Kit

Obviously i want the best ram for my money, as i siad i want to overclcok it, and i will be mostly gaming not to mention doing some video work. photoshop work now and again.

My mother board is a Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi
cpu is Intel Core 2 DUO E6600
Power supply is a Enermax Galaxy 850W EGA850EWL ATX2.2 Modular PSU
cpu is going to be watercooled as is the northbridge of the motherboard.
All wrapped up in my nice Mountain mods ufo horision cube case.

If you guys need any mor einformation dont hessitate to ask.

And thank you guys for all the help.

For £200 it's a choice between 2gb of the Team PC6400 or 4gb of the OCZ PC6400.

If you regularly max out your current 2gb then a couple of pairs of the OCZ is what you want.

If you don't use a full 2gb then the Team is the choice.

I do a lot of gaming, a lot of games when you ramp up the settings do use more, but not what you woudl think ie loading times of maps ect shoudl be faster or am i missing something, and yes i do play battlefield 2 and 2142 ect so am i wrong about it, i have read battlefield can utilize about 3 gb
and will both sets of that ram overclock ?
since i will also be doing that, and has anybody had any experiances in running iether sets of ram in the same motherboard as i have?

Thanks for the replies

would he not be better off with the 1066 ram?

He lol, anyhow, i dont know thats why im asking beofre i buy, needs to be the fastest possible for ht emoney, overclcokable, as i normaly overclcok my cpu

Well tbh you only need bog standard pc6400 to match the e6600.

An e6600 will almost always crap out before pc6400 does if you're running 1:1.

I'd go for two pairs of the OCZ pc6400. It'll do ~925mhz, and that will run fine with an e6600 upto 4.1ghz.

And I seriously doubt your e6600 will do 4.1ghz.

What do you mean by "bog standard pc6400" ??

but if hegets the 1066 he wouldnt be overclocking it to get 950 on it infact he would be underclocking so he would be able to tighten his timings @ 950 wouldnt he?
