Before I get my e6420 and 2gb 5300 ballistix tomorrow I was having a look at my ram, to see what is the best and worst timings.

I noticed a problem????

I saw that on Super Pi and 3dmark06 GPU tests the CPU usage would not go above 50%??? Is this normal?

However on Orthos it Does use 100% cpu. Is superpi and 3dmark06 GPU tests only meant to use 50%?

On the 3dmark06 CPU test it uses 100& as well (According to my lcd screen on g15).

Is there any way I can make it always use 100%

P.s the lowest timing I could get was 3-3-2-8 1t @ 266mhz (533mhz effective). I could boot into windows @ 3-2-1-8 but it would crash with prntscreen.

p.s my quickest superpi so far is a meagre 29.7 secs @ 1m.

50% is due to one thread, one processor.

As you can see on the Orthos picture, it launches 2 threads and so uses both processor cores.

p.s I could only get my timings UP to 5-5-5-18

It would not do 6-7-7-31

I havent tried much atm, but I have got 816mhz (408mhz) @ 1.8v

Not bad for some generic ram :rolleyes:
