Just got myself a sweet pair of cans | Sennheiser HD595's, and it's a sin to let them go onto onboard sound only (even though it still rocks on OB).
I have a Shuttle with a double width GFX card, which means that I do not have a free PCI slot.
Looking for a External Sound card on par/better than the current PCI XFI series of sound cards.
I had a look at the creative XMOD USB sound card, but I wasnt too convinced that it's a propper sound card (EAX support etc) but more like a headphone/mini speaker AMP.
Am I wrong?
What else would you suggest?
