Hi there

ATI X800 GTO 512MB. How good are these cards? What do they compare against in the current NVIDIA and ATI product range?

They proberbly compare against a 6800GT. They are old lol, are you thinking of selling these cards again?

Aye, what was said before, they're a little weaker than the 7600GT (which is about/slightly stronger than the x800XT)

If you can get them in at a bargain price like those £25 7300GT DDR3 versions though, go ahead, Im sure people would pay for them if the price was good :)

Hi there

Could probably do an ATI X800 GTO 512MB PCI-Express Retail delivered to your door for about £50. Good deal guys?

They're about on par with the 6800 GT but with no SM3 support... I'd say £45 inc VAT & del would be a good price, £50 is too much :p

Hi there

In fact I think £45 delivered may indeed be possible. :D

Cant the X800GTO's be unlocked to an X800XTPE? An X800XTPE is slightly more powerfull than a 7600GT one advatage of the 7600GT is that it has SM3.0.

There were a couple of x800gto's that could be unlocked to a full 16 pipes (up from 12) and overclocked to x850xtpe speeds. I know the x800 gto2 did this and there was one other that did also but I forget which.

Even the 12 pipe card would be a steal for £50 delivered. They overclock well and are good enough for things like BF2 and HL2:Ep1 to be played at 1280x1024 at full settings.

£41inc tempted :)

Hi there

I was going to do them for £35inc but the silly supplier realised they only had 80pcs when I initially believed there was 400+ :(

So as demand will be high it would be silly of me to give them away, so anyone who wants a cheap reasonable bargain then get hold of one. :)

I have an X800 pro 256MB which I purchased when they first came. Cost me £300 new!!

So £45 brand new would be an absolute bargain! I can play HL2 at 1680 x 1050 with pretty much everything maxed out, so they aren't slackers!! (although sometimes I could do with an extra 256MB of video memory!)

But yeah, they do lack sm 3.0 support and true HDR, which is a shame because besides that they are potent cards.

They can indeed be hard modded to unlock extra pipelines and the overclocking potential is exceptional to say the least! Although there were 2 different cores, one which could be hard modded and the other which couldn't which also lacked the overclocking potential.

My X800 easy clocked up to XT PE speeds and the memory speed just goes through the roof (but I am using an artic cooler) Load temps never go above 60 for core and 50 for memory.

Ive posted the guide in the other thread to unlock the 4 extra pipelines on these cards :D, makes it a superb bargain
