The car has had extensive welding carried out underneath to pass the last mot (no expense spared!) so it sailed through

I don't think "extensive welding" quite passes as "sailed through", even by my lax standards :D

Probably wants to create as much drag as possible with loads of stick on bits & those wide tires to ensure he will not accidentally get done for speeding on the motorway!

I'll bet it struggles to break 80 - 90 MPH now.
