8800 GTX or Ultra

Between these two cards which one is better at higher widescreen resolution?

When is the next (new) release of gfx cards expected?

The 8800Ultra is an overpriced card meant to be sold to fools who like to be parted with their money.

Quoted For Truth. Yup, definately the GTX - there's very little point in even considering the Ultra. BTW, what resolution are you looking to use it at?

Surely that depends if you can get hold of a 8800 Ultra for the same price as a GTX would it not?

If you can get hold of both cards for the same price then you would be better off with the Ultra.

If I had enough money to afford both cards I would still get the GTX. I can't justify paying the mad Ultra price, when I could just OC the GTX and bridge the gap between the cards.

I agree if *** Ultra costs more which it does here, but if you can get the Ultra for the same price as the GTX then go for the Ultra. If you cant find it at the same price then go for the GTX.

Simple logic, why pay 400 for a GTX if you can get an Ultra for that

if you want to make the best system at the time, get a gtx and what i like to say "superclock" it, which means overclock it past the speeds it its counterpart (the ultra), thats what i like to do anyway, saves money as well which can be used for upgrading to the 9 series =).
