Ok, i have an issue at home, we have a master socket, and about 4 extension sockets for one of our BT lines.

Problem i have at the moment is that when the phone rings, i get cut off the internet.

Iv checked and changed all filters and its not that, iv disconnected all phones and just left filters in, still doesnt resolve the issue. What im thinking of doing is re-wiring the small box that sits on our window where the start of the BT line comes in, then wiring it upto a new master socket to see if this resolves the issue.

Can anybody shed some light on if this is the correct way to go about it?

We do not have a master socket..but we have one of these.

Would it be ok for me to buy a master socket and replace this with the master socket then run any extensions from the master socket?

here is the old master socket i was on about..

the 2 grey thicker copper cables are coming in from the outside, they are connected by that plastic coupler to a solid blue/white stipe and a solid white/blue stipe wire.

There is also an orange wire which is just twisted and isnt connected to anything.

If i bought a Master socket from the net how would i wire this up?
