Story starts when my G25s reverse stops working, a week ago, i finally decided to call logitech to get it repaired, after a couple of emails later, they sent me a new one free of charge. And apprently according to the other thread i don't have to send the old one back.

And funnily enough it arrived today, so i started to wonder what was wrong with my old shifter and took it apart, i knew it wont be too much of a problem to sort out knowing logitech..

And after a bit of tampering and unscrewing i found out the problem and sorted, 'Ray style'

The problem was down to the switch that senses the gearstick being pushed down. but that was sorted easily.
i know my soldering skills are bad :p but im sure no one can do it right with my el cheapo one :)

So, now i have 2 G25s :) im still using my old one. and well the new one.. its sitting in my room, ready to be lent to a friend.

FYI, i will not be selling it to anybody.

They sent you a whole G25? Logitech's service is top notch...I complained yesterday of short battery life on my G7 and they're sending me a MX Revolution (in exchange for the G7 receiver).

My G7 battery life is not to impressive either.

Wonder if its a known problem?

Well it's meant to be 8hrs, but I reckon I get 1-3hrs. At least I get to keep the faux carbon fibre shell, I reckon it'll fit my G5 (which is currently relegated to the laptop merely for aesthetic reasons) :D

Id love a G25 .. Are they really worth the price ?

Ive got a Logitech Driving Force Pro and im loving it.. But the whole 6 speed shifter looks too cool :p

O gosh its lurvly, unlike any other wheels, this is ultra quite! something they didn't advertise with.
When ever I'm on TS or Skype with friends when playing lfs, i can always hear there steering wheel making the sawing noise, and apparently they can't hear mine :)

everyones fighting there selves over my extra one but who will get it :P

While I'm perfectly happy with my Momo Racing for the moment, if I were to get another it would definitely be the G25. Only problem is, I'd hate to abuse it like I do my current one in RBR ;).

i have RBR, and well.. i abuse it more when i 'try' to drift on LFS.
still its fine, whether thats the vigorous left to right on RBR or the baaad ass FFB you get on LFS.
the thing can take anything you throw at it, and i just love the caution label on the bottom :)

if anyone can be bothered to take a photo to post..

The only thing slowing my G25 acquisition are the pedals (not staggered like a real car, makes heel-toe a bit odd) and the clicky gear-shifter...it'll happen soon enough anyway I'm sure though.

Yeah i suppose, with my small feet its a little hard, and we dont ware shoes in our house so the side of my feet is kinda bruised :p , lately i resolved this by putting the heel on to the break pedal and blipping with my toe.
The pedals are really good though, all pedals have different strength springs, it feels great.

And yeah the shifter is clicky. nothing to solve that, well you can get a headset

Wish i'd known about logitech's service when my MX518 left mouse button broke, think its been a year now and too late to send back, its been sitting in a drawer for about 4 months. Besides, i stuck several screwdrivers through it to try and locate the problem :D
