Loadsa threads about this on this forum, do a search

I find 64-bit fine, so long as you're not too nitpicky about the very occasional frame-stutter in games and the even more occasional squeak/pop when playing music.

thx guys. yep read loads still don't know whether to chance 64 bit or not , or wait tilll it has matured more

*sigh*

The only real difference between 32 and 64 bit Vista is that 64 bit is more future proofed.

Programs run the same on both.

Performance is the same on both.

Drivers are the same for both (they're just compiled differently but the code is identical).

no problems here with 64bit
if there are 32bit drivers for your hardware, then they will also do 64bit driver,as Microsoft make manufacturers do both drivers to get WHQL Certified

i would say go for 64bit because i have 32 and want 64 but cant get it because you cant upgrade to it from 32 without re-buying it

64 bit here, on vista ultimate.. works fine, apart form being unable to use sony ericssons phone software, omg they arent releasing a patch until september, vista only came out in like febrauary..!!

It is worth mentioning though that sometimes regular XP drivers will work on hardware for which there is no Vista 32-bit driver (such as wi-fi cards etc), but that driver won't work on 64-bit.

Yeah, the only trouble I've found is for people that haven't released a Vista driver full stop. My first experience was brought short because of Logitech being slow with the G15. Now there's a driver I'm back.

Only thing I'm missing from Vista at the moment is PeerGuardian I think, but that's on the way according to the website :)
