How dire is this logo, you can barely make out the 2012 and it looks like a kid drew it - I am embarassed.

Why is it that we have produced a terrible effort and every stage and still seem to keep on winning?

How on Earth did Stratford win over Paris?

The jagged emblem, based on the date 2012, comes in a series of shades of pink, blue, green and orange and will evolve in the run-up to the Games.
evolve into what?
a real logo because you ran out of time?
 
A year making it they said on News24 - a whole year, on that :eek:

Are they suggesting that young people only respond that something that looks like graffeti? Because if so, I'm offended!


And what's the dot about? I can make out a 2, a 0, a 1, and another 2, but I can't see what purpose the dot is serving?

I didn't even realise to start with that it was (sort of) in the shape of 2012. I bet that cost an absolute fortune in consultation, research and design fees, as well - complete waste of money.
 
It looks a bit like a map - I guess - if anyone gets lost getting to england.

My first thought was 'why does it say ZOR?'
 
Looks like a graffiti-style 'R' at the bottom, I thought the 2 was an L. I was trying to work out what it might stand for.

Shockingly bad. Why would you release that crap. Even if someone was stupid enough to design that crap, exactly who was it that signed off that ****???
 
I just saw this on the News too.

Dear, dear god that looks like something id draw when i was 13 in CDT.

It looks like the early 90's or late 80's personified.

I personally thought the THames river running through the wording was quite nice simple, recognizable.

It reminds me of a packet of Chewits sweets, i used to eat when i was a kid.
 
We should all design a logo and then go evolutionary on them 'til they change it to our logo.
