The Darkness 360 or Ps3?

The 360 version has motion blur and better AA.

There is a comparison video floating about that does sort of suggest the PS3 version has better colour, but that may just be down to set up of one over the other. I got the 360 version and couldn't be happier with it.

Fantastic game.

why does everybody assume that we all find the 360 controller better? surely it's down to personal preference. I find the PS controller a lot more comfortable myself and have a few mates who agree.

I'd say the 360 version looks cleaner with slightly better textures. Add rumble, a controller more suited to fps, achievements and the fact it's out in the UK (PS3 UK release is not for a few more weeks) and you have a winner.
I hadn't seen that, thanks for the link!

It has a far superior layout for FPS games. More accurate analogue sticks too.

I agree - I prefer the PS3 controller.

In fact the OP actually asked which version (360 / PS3) of the game Darkness to get - not which controller people "thought" was best.

If they want to play that game I'd say get the PS3 version because the PS3 itself looks better & is quieter :D

From that video there's really not much difference, although the colours are better on the PS3 one. If you have both, I'd get it on the 360 simply because it's out for that first. But if you prefer the PS3 controller by a long way it makes sense to wait a couple of weeks. The graphics on the two consoles are so similar though that it seems a bit strange to pick based on that.

You forgot to add 'IMO' at the end of that sentance - almost seems like you are stating FACT rather than your preference ;)

I think it's a fact, the PS3 analog sticks and the position of them are so bad for precision aiming, trying to aim at a tiny target on RFOM is bloody annoying.

i got it for 360 only because it wasnt out for the ps3 at the time. to be fair, i do prefer the controller for the 360 because of rumble and the stick layout so i'd say go for 360.

What tiny targets?, i havent seen any, just blooming great hulking ones ;)
I was just using it for example, say trying to hit a piece of debris on the floor or so, it's dead annoying.

It's like on Halo, if I saw a head pop up on multiplayer from a distance it's 10x easier to aim for the small target on the 360 pad than the PS3 pad. ;)

Actually the PS3 has the superior acuracy on sticks, they have a greater distance of travel and a more acurate and analogue reponse over the 360's controller. And as for what layout is better is purely personal prefference.

I'd say get it on the 360. The colours and textures seem to be slightly better on the PS3 version, but the PS3 version has no, zero, zilch AA which ruins all plus' imo.

Why the hell would you want to do that anyway??

The aiming and controls on resistance are probably about as perfect as you can get for a controller based fps. It is one that that gobsmacked me about RFOM. The only game that on the same level is the timesplitters. I was surprised a compnay doing their first fps, got the controls so bang on.
