WW2 aircraft lands on highway

A couple of things i dont get, why did they pull over the poor person trying to get past?

Why did the 2nd officer make sure his gun was at his waist when approaching the aircraft?

re the gun, I suspect because it's unusual and that's how they are trained to approach any vehicle that is acting in an unusual manner, after all it's not every day you see a WW2 era aircraft land in front of you, it could have been terrorists.

I wonder if they asked to see the pilots driving licence?

They probably needed to secure a statement from the witness.

Most likely got charged for driving an over width vehicle on a public highway.... :p
You could see the cop parked on the hard shoulder at the start of the video, the crime was obviously waking a sleeping policeman :p

I thought the pilot would have radio'd in a warning but if not then obviously caution would be advised. The 9/11 terrorists trained using light aircraft afaik and also theres drug traffic, etc

Lol, also read this on a dutch news site with the video, good thing there was a cop patrol out there to videotape it for us :p .
