this looks like a nice case. currently have a thermaltake tsunami but i had to hacksaw part of the hdd bay out to fit in a new 8800gtx, which is no good at all.......

also, the tsunami is not quiet. how quiet is the 832 with the default fans?

2 other questions:

can i get 2 8800gtx's in here if i decide to go sli in future

can it take a floppy. doesn't look like it from the reviews i've seen, and i can live without, but having a floppy drive has pulled me out of a few boot emergencies in the past :D

((edit)) another thing, where has the search button gone on this forum? or is something on my system blocking it. can't imagine that would be the case but you never know.

Search is gone till server problems are fixed.

832 will fit sli 8800gtx no problem as it is an 'sli certified' case. Noise wise, it's not loud but its not super quiet with all the fans in place.

Ive got one - i'll upload pics on request. I find its very well built and runs very quietly. Its also a great looking and what appears to be scratch proof case :) You can order special fan grills from coolermasters parts site (which I have done) to add two more fans into the front of the case totalling 3 if you need it. Ive got a bungee hard drive mod going on though so I dont really have the room :)

put some pics my friend,i am think of getting one of these or a lian-li v2000b+
thanks ;)

yeah i concur :D

lets have some pics. close ups showing the mobo inside the case (just for a better idea of size than i got of the reviews).

cheers

Too many people get LianLi nowadays and not enough get coolermaster!

Thats the actual rig, the case looks a lot better in person and you will see Im not the best at taking pictures

As you can see I took the pannel off that housed 4 fans as I simply didnt need them and would make the case very noisey. If that hard drive wasnt there when I took the picture the case would look much bigger :) IMO this case dosnt have as much space as the original stacker

Power LED (blinding) :p

You can really see the finish of the case with the flash on :p. The extra (top) fan isnt included when you buy the case, I just added it optionally

Wouldnt be complete without my new Bungee mod!

And last but not least - this is what it will look like with the covers back over the fans/hard drives. (I dont currently use an internal optical drive). I personally wouldnt use them if you have fans as it creates a lot more *sucking* noise

thanks for that. your pics beat all the ones i saw on the various reviews i read (what do you mean your pics aren't good??? :D )

i think i need one of these. my case is a nest of cables (nowhere to put them) and the 8800gtx just doesn't really fit (although i got it in - but it didn't want to go :p ).

Mate its an awesome case :p Built to the highest quality! You can also send your cables behind the motherboard tray as there is more room :)

holy sh........... - don' want banned ;)

that is a crazy way to mount your hdd's. i see why you did it though. maybe all the case makers will go the same way. bit hard to vibrate the case with that setup.

so, is it quiet when you don't have the door fillled with the 4 extra fans?

Yes very - i took the two at the front out however for this mod. The rubber wire really helps to absorb the vibrations, shame it takes up all of the 9 bays :p. I could put them a lot closer together but I dont have the time at the moment. That literally took me all of last night to do and it weighs a tonne!

great pics ;)

i also like the way you got the HDs handing there.

do you think i could install watercooling at a later date if i got the 832 ?

Is that the icage you have? I am thinking of getting one just to cool the system, are they good?

No its just the hard drive cage that comes with the case - I just took the fans out and hung the drives from there as there was nothing else to hang em from.

@deuse: Im not sure as Ive never watercooled a rig before and dont really know what it requires. I do remember people saying the older stacker had plenty of room for a watercooling setup (both cases are roughly the same size).

my thoughts from the last 832 thread

Pro's

It's big, really, really big.

Very easy to work on/in.

Removable hard drive cage.

Removable motherboard tray.

4 usb ports and a firewire port on the front of the case.

USB/Firewire/Audio cables are long enough to reach anywhere on your motherboard, and still be tidy.

Very, very good build quality.

Con's

Trust me it's bigger than you think it is.

Only two 120mm fans supplied as standard.

Top blowhole fan mounting bracket is supplied, but no fan.

If you fit a 8800gtx, you can only use 3 of the 4 fan mounts in the side panel. The other fan fouls the power connectors (unless your brave and want to put a heavy bend in the power cables).

Removable hard drive cage is steel.

A little bit pricey.

Overall I'm very happy with it, and it's build quality feels better than the Lan-li it replaces.

And yes it comes with the required bits to fit a floppy as well.

This should help your decision - Get the 832 or I will kill you ;)

RoachycaL it looking that way..

but i just found out that the Scythe Infinity Heatpipe CPU Cooler
wont fit the case aaaaaahhhhhh

i posted in the cpu-cooler section about this waiting for some answers..

You say that you can only fit 3 of the 4 side fans if you fit a 8800gtx... well I've got 2 cards, does that mean I'll only be able to fit 2 fans? Sounds a bit bizarre for a supposedly sli-compatible case.

edit: one other question; I have a Q6600, what is the best cpu cooler I can get to go with this case, given that the scythe doesn't fit, and that I have two 8800gtx in SLi (which I'm assuming will limit the space).
