Well everything is ordered and once here I will start the mods

This is what I have planned for the mother of all cases, the Thermaltake Mozart TX

I am putting 2 x 120 fans on the side but am making my own black mesh grill, it will have a side window and an aluminium nvidia logo at the top of the side panel.

All fans are being changed to 120mm Akasa Ultra quiet fans, 11 in total :eek:

Now in the first compartment I will have my powerful pc ( the specs are below ). Now in the ITX compartment of the case I am modding to put an xbox 360 in, the drive will be modded to go into a 5 1/4" bay and the power button will be on the front of the case.

Now I plan to make an aluminium cut out for the power buttons and LEDs which are very neat.

I will add more mods but also as its in progress anyones input for new ideas will be great, hears everything i've ordered

It has cost a bomb but thanks to these forums and OCUK I have saved a hell of a lot of money. Luckily I already have the 360

The fun will start as soon as everything arrives, there will be loads of pics and hopefully loads of ideas from u guys
 
gunna need it m8 as I am framing all the windows etc with aluminium, will also be cutting out the nvidia logo and the words GRAPHICS BY NVIDIA, think i gotta lot of sanding and buffing on my hands
 
Wow, if you manage to pull this off it will very impressive!! I look forward to progress with pictures I hope :D
 
I was planning on doing something like this but with my PS3 in my MM cae before my PS3 died. :(

PC one side the PS3 the other.

The nvidia logo sounds good, im doing something like that with my case :) in the middle(well close to the end whoo) of engraving the nvidia logo on my mirage and then got a little something special going on the other side :cool: shall keep an eye on your project incase i want to pinch some ideas :D
 
I also have plans to do a xbox 360 logo in aluminum but leave the X as a window in the other side, the 360 will be made from aluminum and the word XBOX will be a cut out of the side panel, this will all be topped off with some green cold cathodes in the 360 side.

But theres gunna be a lot of time spent on the logos as they need to look great as it will be the first thing everyone notices as they will be big.
 
i like the idea :) im sure i have seen a watercooling system for an xb360, could be worth looking in to watercooling it and then modding the case so you can see in to the xb360, show off the watercooling :cool:
 
I would love to watercool it or even phase change but when I owned my last vapochill my wife refused to use the pc and wouldnt let the kids near it either, paranoid i know.

So I promised to stick to air cooling from now on.
 
i can see where you are comming from with water cooling and kids :P but it would be housed in another case so techincally its safer :)
 
Well with the mozart you do have the risk of getting several kids actually stuck inside it. They might want to play Doctor Who and mistake it for a tardis. :p

Everything is here bar the aluminium sheets so nearly ready to start

Jesus this case is a monster but very well made and stylish looking, thats where my happiness ends cause i wanted the version without side window panels which is the picture on the OCUK website but infact it is the window version :mad:

Just changes my mods but they will still come out good I am quite confident of that.

Now I have stripped the case and am busy making the templates for the logos, pics coming soon

Cant really do too much until the aluminium sheets get here but they are due tomorrow
 
just out of interest how much has the project cost you? be interesting to see what different "all in one" entertainment centre you could get for the dosh :)

Including the 360 about £2100

Aluminiums here, some pics will be up tonight or tomorrow
