Is it the lack of jail space that allow men like these not be sent to jail?

Worthy of note is how pathetic the fines were in comparison to their salaries, just for fun I calculated an average dole-ite's annual "income" and they would fined about £35! Puts it into perspective!

What direction is this country taking with this sort lax justice system? What are these judges thinking of?
 
'24 counts of indecent assault and gross indecency on 13 victims aged 18 months and older.'

The judge opted not to jail Porter after hearing he had undergone therapy and was a changed man.

I think the judge needs therapy!
 
I feel exactly the same as you do on this, but theres not much we can do until vigilante groups form, or there are mass riots, only then will the government actually do something!

But seriously, it is a joke these days. Its almost as if judges have no spine.

This isn't a case of the system being at fault more the way the judge passed sentance, check out the maximum sentance for each offence and you will see what I mean.

99% of people don't mind jokes about them (racist etc), and if the ironee was in that 1%, I doubt she's reading this.
