happy chappy today, the agp x1950pro has arrived and im just shocked at the difference it has made. first of here are the pick, they are large at 1mb each so i won;t embed them:

its a HIS card, which has 512mb memory onboard. and as you can see from the pics the vrm on this card are cooled with the main heatsink stuck on it.
as for the benchmarks, an [email protected] is what i used.
first the score with the old 7600gs overclocked to 480core and 900ram:

now the x1950pro at stock:

having to use driver 7.7 since 7.8 doesn;t work, CCC says that there is no compatible display drive installed and i can;t get out of 640x480 4bit rez.
performance in Bioshock demo is staggering, its running at a rez of 1360x768 and compared to my main pc in my sig the x1950pro pc out performs it nearly 2 fold. i dunno if its cuz of the extra ram the x1950pro has or its vista im using on my x1900xt pc but something is badly up with it compared to the agp system.
as for temps, im getting 54c idle and running rthdribl for 15 mins stabises the temps at 75c. thinking of aftermarket cooling but not sure how im gonna end up cooling the vrm on the x1950pro.
excellent card which has extended the life of this agp system for a lot longer. GRAW runs great maxed out at 1360x768 as does farcry with HDR enabled.
Test drive unlimited still runs jerky so im gonna assume its my cpu at fault here.
about to run battlefield 2 now to see how it is.
one major bonus i can spot a mile away on the 32inch lcdtv which is hooked up to the x1950pro, its the angle independant AF which gives far superior image quality than what the 7600GS ever did.
i was wrong about the performance of bioshock, well, it performs badly on my x1900xt in vista 64bit compared to the x1950pro in xp. i rekon its the 256mb vram holding me back though on the x1900xt but its gonna be hard to find out unless i slap my x1900xt into a xp machine.
id well and truly recommend the x1950pro to any AGP masters still out there. its a very good card.
