RR day....... or is it!

All,

Im going to look into organising another RR day at some point around late September/ Early October.. are there any major events going on (Japfest etc) that might need to be avoided before I check availability?

Another thing... I want to control the number of cars going on the rollers, and more importantly, the type of cars... Ideally I wanna try and restrict it to a maximum of 20 cars running, and ensuring those cars that do run are things that everyone has a vested interest in, opposed to diesel vans.... (no offence intended)

does anyone have a problem with me enforcing the latter?

No problem with enforcing it. I suggest the interesting things run at the start, I don't care if it makes Powerstations work harder, they are getting paid for it. With less running it wont really matter anyway.

I'd be totally up for it, as long as my car is working!

Really unsure what it is running now with a new engine, new cams and a ported head.

its not power thats a problem, its the wheelbase size, it saves loads of times if identical wheelbase cars run together, so thats in our best interests to sort !!

its not a major issue, tis just that as its a proven OCUK event now, theres a lot of interest, and I want to try and keep the rollers to interesting stuff, WillGills ever improving P1, Llyrs Golf GTi, Merlins super DC5, and other such project which people have followed on the forums generate a lot of interest, and focusing on these cars running is the way forward IMO

Have you ever thought about organising some kind of time trials day... like the Pistonheads VMAX event but with less exotica? It could lead to some genuine competition and mean that people in slower cars could still take part and stand a chance.

If not I'm just going to have to buy myself a 500bhp Supra so that I can keep up with the forum elite. My e-penis is looking a little dejected at present

I'd be up for a run if it's remapped for high boost by then, I promise not to need more than one run this time! It might even be finished by next time!

As long as I get a run every year (two meets a year, I'll take the summer one

) I'm not fussed.

And I'll only want to run if I've done any significant engine mods to my car since then. I think it's a pretty "interesting" car to warrant that much

Haha.

Means I need to get the engine ran in now, hasn't got above 4000rpm yet, only 450miles and an oil change...

Getting a new rad core too on Monday, hopefully stop it overheating, lol. I'm hoping for more than 140bhp, 150 would be awesome.
