A man who handed over a counterfeit million-dollar bill to a cashier at a Pittsburgh supermarket and asked for change has been arrested.

There is no real US bill worth $1m (£490,000). Since 1969, the $100 note has been the highest in circulation.

Strangely, I never knew the $100 bill was the highest denomination these days, I always thought the $1000 bill was still legal tender. Oh well, you lives and you learns!

Surely it's got to exist before it can be counterfeited?

The whole cop thing and the scanner gun has reminded me of a film called Scanner Cop. Has anyone seen it? This 'Scanner Cop' could make peoples heads explode just by looking at them.

You can still cash it at the bank, but many places won't take it.

there's plenty of places where you can buy mockups of 1million dollar bills but they usually have religious messages on them too or something
