hi i am worried about my 8800 GTX tempertures i have replaced the stock cooler with a:
Thermaltake CL-G0099 TMG but have failed to see any tempertures improvement at the moment the GTX is idle around 69-75c i have lots of cooling in my case with a pci fan underneath GTX which has made no improvement to temps either
i am currently thinking of buying a Thermalright HR-03-PLUS (8800 GTX) from ocuk my question is is this cooler any good as reviews ive read seem to rate it as the best and do i use just the Thermalright HR-03-PLUS (8800 GTX) or have to buy another fan to use with it ?

i have this cooler on my gtx, and mine idles at, 50-53, ive put a scythe kaze white 120mm fan on it.
you have to be inventive when putting a 120mm on. they should have a 92 mm fan on but i thought it was too noisy, and the 120mm cools better anyhow, still got the 92mm scythe kaze white i put on it originally.
tip, when you buy it buy some akasa thermal tape and remove the crap from the heatsinks supplied with it (they come off)
under load cod2, moh airborne etc stays below 65c, fan on max
the stock cooler was inadequate

ps - it has no fan with it, you have to buy one, the scythe whites have a knob to control the fan

I got a Thermalright HR-03-PLUS from OCUK and is just great.

43c idel and 50-52c load..but i do have a 92mm fan on doing 3000rpm
all the time.

I am deaf so it dont matter to me :D

Opps that on a 8800GTS

Go for it! Best 8800 cooler out there.

Mine idles at 50c and loads up to 65c max with a 92mm xilence fan running at 1500rpm.

Was just over 80 with the stock cooler.
