Just been speaking to someone who works for another larger online retailer and he said that the 8800gt availability is so tight so you better order the cards as soon as you can.

And I can confirm, the NDA is only up to 2pm so I expect the cards up for sale after this time today.

The first brands available are inno3d, asus, msi, followed by Zotac. EVGA between tuesday/friday latest.. and then other brands later.

So yes, expect to order today but wait a few days to get the better brands.

Also, it seems the cards will not be less than £150 inclusive of VAT.

(oops I shouldn't have leaked this info:D)

I guess they would say that:). No doubt anyone buying a GT in the first week or two will pay a small premium for the priveledge. If stock is so short and demand is high, I bet they cost a bit more than the mRRP of $229 (plus UK VAT = £135ish)

Got any leaked info that we don't know? :D

Just pulling your leg (kinda), and as stated cards are already listed for less than £150. :)

oooh so much info my head urts, im currently being offerd £150 for my card cash on collection from an ebayer and i dont know what to do lol oh deary me.

Though they are listed on another site for under £135inc VAT now.

Yeah but have you ever heard of that place before? I know for certain I never have.

And they are the only site with em listed yet...

To be honest I wouldn't but the Zodac/Club 3D bands anyway, BFG/EVGA all the way for me. The warranty is worth the extra £10-£15 for the peace ofmind + re-sale value.

Just had confirmation from annother retailer that they'll be selling the Zotec 512MB 8800GT for £142 ex VAT, so thats ~£170 inc.

Deffo looks like £165-170 is the average.

I completely agree with you on this point.

Apparently the Palit ones will be pretty cheap.

Yeah there is the Asus 8800GT 512MB DDR3 256bit Dual DVI PCI-E Graphics Card for £165.40 inc VAT listed on another site :)

Not a bad price

Ah yes, just thought I'd check one other retailer to see what anybody else is doing, and obviously happened across the same store as you looked at.

£165.40 inc vat, but also, free delivery, so that's £165.40 all in.
I was personally hoping to spend £150 all in, so I may wait a while, for what is, as Easy put it, a "throw away card" which I guess it is, until the GeForce 9 appears ;)

V1N.
