what are the "entry" requirements to move over and start working there long term? Google doesnt answer my question, it just says going over there is the British thing to do. I idealy want to go over there near the end of my working career work the last 5 or so years there and then kick it back in the sun

I would make sure you look into getting your residencia and your health card if you plan to move perminately. They're both things you'd sort once you were over there iirc.

So it doesnt matter about any adolescent criminal mistakes? No matter how serious? Just as long as I'm not wanted for murder or anything I can just move over buy a house and seek employment?

No income support in Spain, so no job - means you will have to come back to UK.

Health card can only be obtained if you have a job in Spain. Getting residency is very easy just pop down to the adjundament (council)

Have you not got about 30 years left before you reach the end of your working life? Bit soon to be organising anything isn't it?

Really? There's no income support in Spain? I honestly thought the vast majority of first world nations had it.

There is, but not for British expats:

British citizens who take up residence in Spain usually have no entitlement to Spanish benefits.

There is provision for a very basic form of Income Support to help the destitute, but applying for it could affect an expatriate's right to residence which was normally dependant on establishing that they have sufficient resources to live in Spain without becoming a burden on the State.
