FM 08 Facepack?

Hi

has anyone seen any facepacks released for fm08 yet?, i got sent a link from a friend (torrent) and im a little dubious of it so close to the games release.

it'll probably be fine, most of the updates being released for 08 atm are just being ripped straight out of 07.

www.sortitoutsi.net though is good for all the face packs and team logos and that, if you can make sense of the horrible site layout.

This is the one I am using atm. It's got just about everyone in it. Very nice piece of work.

same instalation as the kits and badges? just drop em into the my documents\sports interactive\graphics folder??

Aye. Then load up FM 08 and click on Preferences then Display and Sound and make sure you untick skin cache and tick reload skin on confirm. Might need a re-start but it didn't in my case.

cheers, gave them a try then added some EPL packs from http://www.sortitoutsi.net/ as some of the pics are using 06 kits. nice one

I had a quick look on SortItOutSI last night, couldn't find any FM08 Premiership face packs or logos. Course the FM07 packs should suffice and there should be a few FM07 packs for the current season so you should be able to get up-to-date stuff.

There will be other, smaller sites that might be worth checking out for graphics.

they are there (top six teams mainly) but unfortnately not a full epl pack so you have to dl each team individually, bit of a pain

Is there a Premiership logos and kit pack on the forum as well?

That is a pain. However, the amount of work that is required to get a good kit/logo/face pack is huge. To do it for more than a few teams at a time would require some serious dedication.

true, Mlingard's link was better, full prem teams, just need to add badges etc

True.

Ideally I'd like facepacks/kits/logo for all the teams in the Champions League say as well as lower leagues in England where I might meet teams from there in the FA or Carling Cup. For now though, the Premiership is good.

Btw found some cracking kits, http://www.sortitoutsi.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=21038. Thanks to mlingard for pointing out the forums.

You dont get many superpacks for fm games or at least not ones where you are happy with all the content and defo no chance of one for fm08 yet so you will just have to get them leagues at a time

yeah, it's all a bit messy atm. All the 08 stuff seems to be only available through the forums and many of the links provided are down. Have managed to get pretty much all the SS08 kits sorted, there's a link to a megapack of kits in the SS08 thread on about page 10 or something but the guy who posted the link seemed to get pretty well flamed for doing so :confused:

The cut-out face packs seem to fit very nicely in the game and most of the prem is done though the quality of the pics does seem to differ wildly. (The Newcastle ones seem a bit carp.)

Ouch Baked. How long did you spend downloading it?

I do agree on the superpacks. You might only find that the graphics for a certain league or even team are the only decent things and everything else is rubbish. I'd much prefer to download packs for leagues and then I've more choice over what I download and I won't download a massive superpack that is rubbish.

wasnt that long tbh, but there was no continuity with the pics, some were tiny some you could only see the torso etc, its a bit anal disregarding it over that but what the hell eh..

In fm07 i downloaded the content i liked then created my own superpack and saved to dvd but didnt put it on filefront etc because you need permission obviously

the newcastle cutout facepack seems fine to me but everytime i see the joey barton one it makes me laugh

, do we have a general thread for fm08 like tactics etc ??? i hardly use the pc gaming section .
