Hmm, not sure whether to install these or not. The version number suggests they're older than the 169.04's which gave me a nice perf. boost in crysis.

That's not always the case, Nvidia go back a few versions sometimes when the beta drivers have issues.

In fact I was just going to ask if anyone knew for sure as I like the 169.04 ones. :)

Thanks for the heads-up kmufc77, especially since you posted links to all those operating system versions. Drives me barmy when people only post Vista or XP ones, or only 32/64-bit ones and nothing else.

glad to help

Knew there was some new drivers coming, thanks for the heads up. :)

A heads up, these don't support the 8800 GT, and are 24 days earlier than the 169.04's. :(

so i don't know where you got this from :-

As they aint Beta, and that aint anywhere on these.:confused:

These say :-

# WHQL certified driver for GeForce FX, 6, 7, and 8 series GPUs.
# Added support for the following Motherboard GPUs:

* GeForce 7150 / NVIDIA nForce 630i
* GeForce 7100 / NVIDIA nForce 630i
* GeForce 7100 / NVIDIA nForce 620i
* GeForce 7050 / NVIDIA nForce 630i
* GeForce 7050 / NVIDIA nForce 610i

# Improved compatibility and performance for NVIDIA SLI™ technology on DirectX 9, and OpenGL applications.
# Game and application compatibility fixes. Please read the release notes for more information on product support, features, driver fixes and known compatibility issues.

Also the Vista 64 set is apparently screwed, they don't work.

Ill stick to the 169.04's as they seem to be doing an excellent job at the moment, and i know they support the GT'S:D

my mistake sorry all, i copied and pasted the orginal post from guru 3d so i should have read that they said beta when they are WHQL

Using a config to run Very High and what not on XP, anyway it actually runs great now, easily pulling 20+fps and rarely dropping to 18ish in crowded areas, a huge increase. :D (On Crysis) at 1680x1050 stock GTX.

As far as I know everything is set to Very High on this config: http://www.fileplanet.com/181939/180000/fileinfo/Crysis-DX9-Very-High-Modification

This Very High config runs better than what it did before and also it runs better than what selecting High in-game did too. (This is with the 169.04 or whatever)

I noticed that going from 1680x1050 to 1280x720 gave me no extra FPS or it was very minimal at best, can't wait for the retail game I have a feeling it's gonna run much better. :D

Well these are a massive improvement over the newer 04s, spent last 2 hrs testing

Crysis, COH and Bioshock all crashed in SLI-DX10 with the 04s

Now
Crysis x64 GFX bench avg 21fps...flawless
COH DX10 all maxxed-ultra 4xAA 29fps avg
World in conflict maxxed 28fps avg

Bioshock crashes ironically at TWIMTBP video on startup :p
Edit:- Found a tweak to disable startup vids, Runs like a dream in DX10 Maxxed!

These are the best drivers released for me to date
