Hi
Just got one of these and am very impressed!
"BUT" When I reduce the brightness below 85% it hums???
---king annoying,thought it was interferance with my speakers at first but its coming from the monitor.
Anyone any ideas?

have you tried turning it all the way down to see if it only hums at a certain point?

Yeah above 85% its fine anywhere below it rings /hums louder and louder

you rang up where you bought it from about this? Perhaps samsung them self.

I think your the third "hummer"

on these forums...do a search , see if they managed to sort it.

I RMA'd my pebble yesterday...for backlight bleed....not having much luck Samsung with these 22" screens at the moment.

got mine and its very good - a simdge of back light bleed but nothing major nor noticable whilst gaming etc.

look about half way down and the pictures are a perfect example of a slight backlight bleed

Mine hums too - but I only notice it at the lowest brightness levels, below 40%. I decided not to go for a return because the panel is excellent - slight backlight bleed but it's not something that concerns me at all. I didn't want to run the risk of getting a replacement that stopped the hum, but got me a worse panel. Figured that there's a 3-year warranty on the screen, if the hum gets worse I can always get a replacement in the future.

That said - if mine was humming at 85% brightness, I'd probably think again about the return; I find 50% to be plenty bright enough!

I emailed Samsung and got this reply.

Thank you for contacting Samsung Electronics.

In regards to your enquiry, this would indicate a possible fault with the monitor.

Please call us on the number below and we can provide further troubleshooting and help to resolve your problem which may involve a warranty repair.

So I did, they said to return it to OC ers .
I phoned OC ers and they picked it up today, look forward to see if the next one is an improvement!!

If its not the guy at Samsung said they (Samsung) would collect and send a replacement.

Pretty good service all round I would say.(apart from the hassle)
