Hey guys i dont post here often but i modded my Antec 900 and i thought id share my simple little mod with you guys

Ok so to the parts and tools im going to Use.
To drill holes i am going to use an Electricians Hole Saw Kit
The Drill i am going to use is a Makita 18v Cordless Drill
Now this stuff i couldnt find anywhere in the Uk until Watercooling UK came to the rescue with Neoprene Rubber Edge Trim (they say its the Modders Best Friend)
Also some other bits and bobs such as Marker Pens and Masking Tape so i can mark out where i need to cut before removing the motherboard

Just thought id add this bit, It is better to use a modular PSU than a Standard one, simply because the Antec 900 does not have that much room behind the Motherboard tray to close the side in the Revision 3 they have maximized the space and added there own Holes to the motherboard tray (IMO not impressed with Antec's job of holes) thats about it any more Questions PM ME

Anyway Guys here is the pictures of my Small mod, Also any other people who have modded the 900 did you have trouble the the ATX 12v wire from the PSU i did mine it is tight as hell but anyway heres the pics.

I have done similar in my Lian Li G50 but I just used a 1" hole saw, it's a nice simple mod that should help cable management when I get round to putting something in there.

If I were you I would have placed the holes as far behind the motherboard as possible to hide them, but it's certainly better than most 900s look.

Yeah i widh i had put the holes further back behind the Mobo as well, oh well NVM im happy with the result

Nice one, i have the same case.

I have just pulled the side panel offthinking of also doing this but there isnt a lot of room for the psu cables, does your side panle bulge at all?

Or is it because your are mnodular cables and spread better?

There isnt a lot of room on the other side, no i dont have a bulge you just need to be very caerfull where you place the cables so its even on the Right hand side then the side goes on with very little effort. Also Sorry about the competitor link but i thought i would show people where i got that Material from. If you would like me to removwe it i will

Thats impressive and tbh u can only really do that and get it right yourself cos each pc setup is different.

The antec 1200 is it ever appears (was due last month) has cable managment in place... but not on same level as your mod :)

The antec 900 is a nightmare for cable managment but thats the cleanest antec 900 ive ever seen.

Very nice work.

I did something similar to my Antec 900 but used paxmate to cover the holes. The edges are still sharp though so I may follow up with some of that edge liner.

Now I'm considering removing the Fan cart thingies at the front and putting a 120.2 radiator in there. This case is really a nightmare to keep organized so it takes some thought to do nice wire management or watercooling.

Again, nice work, very clean.

Damn.. was gonna get some stuff off that website for my new build but it's UK only =/

Anyone know a decent site that sends to Europe or atleast Ireland? Maybe I can send them an email asking bout sending to ireland.. we're not that far away!

Thanks for all the responses guys, remember if your thinking of modding your Antec 900 like mine give me a PM and ill be happy to help you. Or in that matter if you need any other modding help :) Also Highlander, i have seen a few Antec cases with there own cable managment and i was not impressed at all, in most of them they have just put 2 holes by the side of the mobo and havnt even brought the PSU into consideration

Sorry for the double post, i seen on another mod someone done similar to mine that if you drill a very big hole underneath the PSU there is room to flip it over so the wires are closer to the Mobo tray. Just another thought for anyone who wants to try the Mod :)

looks good i have the antec 900 too, i wouldnt mined modding mine. Can you get the side of the case back on ok?
