Two very stupid questions , on this cooler does the fan sit on top of the metal part or does it sit in between the 2 metal bit like in the photo here on OCUK??

Also where does the bracket fit , I've just had a quick look at this on my lunch and it looks far from easy.

Any help would be really really appreicated

I'm not 100% sure but I think it can handle 2 fans... 1 on top & 1 in the middle perhaps? I don't have tuniq tower so I can't say for sure, but I think that is what can be done... Though someone will need to confirm this.

The fan goes in the middle of the cooler with metal fins on either side.

The "H" bracket fits in between the heatpipes and then you connect it to the board and backplate with 2 or 4 screws depending on which CPU socket you have.

The cooler can only take one fan.

Really? I'm sure I've read somewhere around here that it can take 2 fans? Perhaps I read it wrong, or just read wrong.

So does the fan just stay loose in the middle of the metal fins??

So the coppper heatsink part is sandwiched between the silver "h" bracket and the thing you stick on the underside of the Mobo.

Do I have to use the clip part and where/what does that clip to??

Sorry for all the questions but the instructions are vaugue at best

here note screws

Try this

The bit like an old AMD heatsink where you need to push it down to hold it in place , the instructions for this part came on a seperate sheet of paper. I'm thinking the bolts will hold it in its place though.

I suppose what i'm asking , is it just the bolts that hold the heatsink onto the CPU??

yes thats correct, you put an H plate in between the copper piece and fan which you screw through the motherboard onto a self adhisive plastic bracket on the back. It's extremely fiddly

I'll look forward to that tonight then

Can you over tighten them or do the springs prevent this ?
