Okay so this is really wierd and happens when i play just about all my games but it happens the quickest on test drive unlimited . my settings arent to high for my rig and they are definatly not low, they are usualy at highest on my games (counter strike source, day defeat source teamfortress 2 , battlefield 2.

now because im not sure whether this is actually artifacting and it doesnt appear in screenshots i take i have had to use a digital camera (but its a bit naff to be honest) but at least you can see what im talking about.

Thought I'd be a kind sole & resize it for you ;) but I cant figure out why it's happening.
I have read that tes drive unlimited is very buggy.

I think he meant make the ones you have in the OP smaller so they aint stretching the screen :p

^^ Resize the pics in the first post please using edit. If you don't then someone will do it (mods). Just saves them the hassle :).

Have you removed drivers, booted into safe mode and then ran Driver Sweeper, Driver Removal software to remove all instances of Nvidia* :o (ATI doh :p) and then put in new drivers in yet?.

well okay heres my list:

I highly doubt that any drivers are on there espcially of ATI because its a new build and ive been struggling to deal with this for weeks. For a while now ive been actually underclocking my card and that tends to somewhat purspone the artifacts but then again i get worse performance which doesnt help me much and then some games dont like any kind of changes to clock speed and right now they are at their default levels of 710/1000. i have never overclocked the card higher as i think its factory overclocked anyway.

i saftely can say its not temps or at least i dont think it is, at the moment it is around 39-42 degrees and on full load ive seen it only as high as 55 degrees or at least according to Nvidia Monitor. The times ive seen it at its highest are during test drive unlimited in which ive seen it go to about 55 - 56. yet on counter strike it never goes above 50 and so on.

colour depth? i dont know maybe but i dont know how i would fix this if it is with the game, monitor and so on. if someone can help me check it out.

i dont know what you mean jd by "install the monitor .inf files again?"
as i dont think i have to install any drivers with this monitor though if you could help me check or try it out id be grateful.

also i have tried other drivers but it seems the ones that people say are the best dont even support my card and so wont let me install them.

ill work on those images now .

What exact model is your monitor?. It might have it on the front, side, underneath or on the back.

Also, with the underclocking postponing the artifacts isn't a great sign but with low temps it's a bit weird to be honest. I just hope the temp sensor is working right or that the RAM on the graphics card isn't going loopy.

What are you using to read the temps of your card?.

Good show on the resizing of the pics :).

Does it only happen with TDU? If so that's your answer right there.

Well that's the desktop though in the screenies.

what do you mean but yes its most noticeable on tdu because it happens in about a minute or sometimes a bit more. counter strike source it runs fine or appears at least ... maybe itll happen after hours of playing i just dont know.

it has also happened on battlefield 2 a few times.

okay so on a different note is there any way i can create some kind of profile just with these two games which i get trouble with to use a lower clock speed cuz that has worked for the past weeks . but i dont want it to affect my performance in other games because it does, games like call of duty 2 (runs a lot worse when underclocked) and a noticeable fps drop in the source games.

before i had it underclocked to about 610 /965 and it didnt artifact (or what ever it is any more)

yes it is the desktop but thats because i quited tdu game because it sometimes freezes up when it happens so i rushed to get my camera and crashing in tdu can cause save game and the such to be corrupted.

also the first screen, what im looking at is the horizontal lines and the wierd colour in the clouds. those tiny dots are just my camera cuz i held it close to screen.
