I have an Acer Aspire 1683WLMi laptop that i have just put a 160 gig HDD in (it was 80gb originally). However it is limiting the size of the HDD. I put a 30gb partition on for the OS but its now only letting me have a 99gb 2nd partition. I figure i need to update the bios, but the acer webistes bios files seem to be at the same version as my bios reports already. I then went to the phoenix website and that says i need to update it, but wants to charge me 30 dollars for the privelege
Any ideas?
Acer support aren't open till thursday.
