Antec Quattro 850W
URL: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=ca-084-an
price: £99.99 (£117.49 inc vat)
bought on friday - powering:
asus striker extreme
q6600 (g0) @ 3.8ghz
2gb ocz sli 8500 ddr2
2 x wd raptor raid 0
1 x wd re16 400gb
gainward bliss 8800gtx
asetek waterchill extreme 12v watercooling system
creative x-fi
dvd rw
asetek lcd display
6 x 120mm fans
dual cold cathodes
not even breaking sweat :d
this batch came into ocuk on friday whilst i was in store and must be the new "fixed" batch as the first ones to be released showed low power warnings whenever any 8800gtx was used. all other 8 series cards were fine....it only affected gtx's.
running sweet with mine!
excellent psu and no where near as massive as the enermax galaxy 850w/100w so people with smaller cases can now have a meaty 850w without needing an angle grinder and a hammer! :d
pros:
- will power any quad system with sli/ crossfire and stupid amounts of hdds
- modular cabling system (except 2 x pci-e, atx 20/24 pin + cpu 12v)
- standard size - shouldn't require a massive case.
- looks nice (imho)
- incredibly efficient
- relatively quiet for its power
- good selection of cables
- gtx bug apparently fixed
cons:
- 80mm fan isn't as quiet as my old tagan u-15 580w but not unbearable.
- some of the cabling is quite stiff (but i'm sure there'll be enough heat in my case to soften it up a little :d)

specs:
conclusion:
so far so good:
great looks
great price (£40 ish cheaper than the enermax galaxy 850w)
reasonably quiet and powers even the most extreme rig.
clear full colour manual.
what are you waiting for?
