Im getting a sapphire 3870 tomorrow. My x1900xt card started to artifact soon after I got crysis in november and I didnt worry about it cos crysis makes any card work hard, and I thought if I turned the clock speed and mem down abit it would fix it but it hasnt The card has been oc to the xtx version since the day I bought it and that was about 2.5yrs ago. The temp is 40c idle and about 68-70c full load and I blow all the dust out of the fan every 3 month or so, so its properly looked after.

Basically is it worth selling, or is it comming to its end of its life?

Oh yeah it has just started to artifact in dirt when its oc to the xtx version.

Ahh right, well if I hadnt got this new card comming today I would try the 7.12s, cos Im using the 7.10s. Plus Ive just reinstalled xp so I dont really want to be uninstalling and reinstalling drivers,

Yeah its the best card Ive ever had and its given me no problems at all, just hope the 3870 will be as reliable, and what I mean there is, sticking the card in installing the drivers and it will just work.

When I first got my x1900xt card, it was great, I installed the card and the drivers, think they were the 7.6s then, they worked flawlessly for a good 8months or so before I had to change the drivers due to games not running properly, Why cant all cards be like that?

I think it'll be fine. Think AMD have been concentrating on getting the drivers right for the HD3XXX series which is why the quality for the older cards has slipped a bit.
I'm looking to sell my HIS X1900XT too, Just sitting on the side in its box:(
