bit of a strange one.

all of a sudden, as of yesterday evening, my vista center has stopped showing on start up. also i cant assess control panel, each time i try to open it a blank window (which i assume is the control panel) opens for a fraction of a second and then closes itself.

this is kind of stopping me actually using my PC as i cant change any settings at the moment.

vista has only bean installed for a two weeks

EDIT: it doesn't work in administrator mode, and a right click property's on my computer does the same as the control panel.

Hi all

i found this on another forum, gave it a try and it worked.

It appears as though Vista is running in reduced functionality mode. There is something that i was able to do to get the control panel back. I simply run services.msc and locate the Software Licensing service and restart it. It will restart the Readyboost service as well because it relies on the SL service. But then the control panel is back and all functionality is too.[/url]
