Well their first idea of Guaranteed Overclocks on CPUs may not have been a hit with some die hard forumites, but OcUK have done something right today :p

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/financefaq.php

Here at Overclockers UK we've put together a range of special finance deals that provide customers who prefer not to pay by credit or debit card at the time of order, with an easy and attractive alternative. Overclockers UK Online Finance is the convenient way to get your hands on the technology you want today without breaking the bank! In short, our online finance options give you the ability to spread the cost of the products you want NOW, over a time frame that suits your budget.

This is something I know a lot of OcUKers have pushed for over the years... pretty groovy really

This is great news for those who would like a top notch system, but can't pay all at once, and the interest free ones, (buy now,pay in 6 or 12 months) would be snapped up straight away.

Winner :)

Hmmm..... nice.

Means I can buy stuff without the wife noticing a wedge of cash disappearing from my credit/debit card :D

"Who is my finance actually with?
We source the best value finance products from providers who excel in their customer service. Your finance agreement will be with one of the UK's leading finance houses."

So, who provides the service? Seems very vague. I certainly wouldn't sign up for finance without knowing who it was with. If it is one of the best finance companies why not state who they are?

12months interest free looks pretty swish

Just wouldn't want to go over 12months with too much outstanding balance :o

I like the way at the bottom of the shoping basket you can see the option. God it must look to tempting for some.. specing something really nice up and seing it could only be £50 a month or something :o Nice bit of marketing work there

Seems weird how they change the amount borrowed for the latter two examples. Would make comparisons much easier across the options if they kept the amount of credit constant.

Buy now pay in 12 months - "If you application is accepted an arrangement fee of £40.00 will be applied."

Is that the same elsewhere? And do you pay that with the 10% deposit or does it get added to your total?. Not going to buy using credit myself, just curious.

Congrats OcUK, you finally did something right! (oh wait will that get me banned?:D)

I was hoping you guys would implement this sooner :) Good job guys!!

Anyway, I think now, you can focus on fixing the custom build area...Especially the Quad SLi custom spec ...as it shows the same amount of Graphics cards as a SLi duo system.:(

One question... is the finance limited to build systems only OR can we use it on purchases well?

V12 Finance (going by the logo's OcUK have on their site now).
http://www.v12finance.com/

No idea why Overclockers haven't put that in their T&C's, maybe they were written before they signed with V12?

As I said in another thread, V12 also do financing for one of OcUK's major competitors - so hardly a dodgey back alley company.

Said competitor does the same thing, must be something to do with V12?

Yeah you will usually have to pay a deposit to the financing company at the start of your term.

Charges like that are pretty common looking around, some a lot lower and some much higher.

OcUK seem to have come smack in the middle.
