Have the Auzentech Microphone Issues been sorted?

Does anyone know what their official response to this is?

Surely it is just a driver issue. Is it across all OS's?
 
the cynic in me is saying if it were just a driver issue, then they'd have fixed it when they first released the x-mystiques. but they didnt......
 
its a shame, it really is a thorn in the side of what are awesome pieces of PC sound hardware...still, i just run the mic through on board and leave it at that
 
I did have a Creative Elite PRO and to be honest, the Microphone was a million times better than onboard so want a card with good Mic ability.

Looks like its going to be a Xonar D2X.. although unsure if the Software based EAX 5.0/OpenAL offers much of a FPS hit in games.

I have just received this reply from Auzentech Support regarding the issue:

Thank you for contacting Auzentec.

We have performed the MIC test and concluded that the gain is enough to communicate.
The MIC volume gain will not be increased in software since it has hardware limitation.
Currently, we are replacing only the products which do not play any sounds on the MIC with another one.

We appreciate your support and kind interest in our product line.

Mmmmm... great support there then if ALL their customers are reporting low volume levels?
