Zen stone - adding music?

My Mum bought a little Zen Stone a few months back but I have no idea how to add music?

I plug it in(USB) - it appears in itunes with 5 songs already on it. I click and drag all my music into the device.....nothing. The music copies across because it's saying the memory is used...but there's no music appearing on the playlist.

Any ideas?

I'm using osx.

I think I've got it working now.

I was basically importing all the tracks from my CD to the itunes library - this makes them .m4a. Mp3 is the format I require.

just plug it in and drag and drop what you want, dont bother with itunes unless you have to.

Apologies for the bump, but this mp3 player is doing my head in. I can't copy any of the albums from CD onto the Zen because their coming out as AIFF files. I want MP3 files!

I just drag all the music from the CD onto the Zen and it continues to use the AIFF format.

just use windows media player and drag and drop them, or something like nero.

yep put in the cd go to the rip tab on windows media player at the top and rip just make sure in settings that you know where the mp3s or wmas are ripped to, then drag onto your player

Why is it the MP3 player that is doing your head in when you know that you need to use MP3's ?

Got a Creative V series for the (now ex)missus back at christmas, and it was easy enough just using windows media player to drag things over.

i never had a problem with my zen stone, wma's, mp3's all just dragged and played.
