Petrol 2.0

wow I thought we would eventually manipulate bugs like this to eat waste and purify water and other such stuff. But I didn't think it would be this soon. Be awesome if it's true.

This is the answer to the petrol/energy crisis, but unfortunately it is still at the expense of the environment. Long-term we must avoid it or risk polluting the planet so much it will be inhabitable.

Did you read the article fully?

In theory the fuel produced by this method is actually a lot more environmentally friendly.

Yeah it states somthing about Neative Carbon or somthing. which is a strange theory to think of

EDIT: Ninja-replied

Looks like a great leap forward for the enviroment and the development of new sciences and technologies. hopefully it will become profitable and easy to make and maintain this so it can be used offically instead of normal oil for a fuel.

It's interesting to see scientists and innovators go into overdrive in the face of energy crises and difficulties; same with transport, software, computers, etc.... just imagine if those same people went full steam on their research and inventions from the word go, instead of out of impending necessity - society would look nothing like today! I find it fairly perplexing that these wonderful creations and solutions are only borne out of necessity and only implemented when the current methods are totally exhausted or worthless. For example, we had electric motors several decades ago - yet General Motors clamped down on it and rendered the practice almost non-existent until very recently.

Makes you wonder...

Sounds promising. The article says the "company claims the fuel will be carbon negative". Just have to see

Although it means it won't just be people filling up from supermarkets who are putting **** fuel in their cars.
