8.7 drivers are DriverVer=07/03/2008, 8.512.0.0000

theres 8.8 beta drivers are DriverVer=06/25/2008, 8.520.0.0000

so the version is higher but the date isn't.. :confused:

The 8.7s were great for 38x0 owners...give it 4 driver sets, you have to pay your dues in patience

8.7 were the first drivers for 4xxx line so it aint so bad & i think things will improve allot with 8.8 & that number looks good too

Just checked my 8.7's and they are 8.512's.

The catalyst version is normally the one out at the time with new beta drivers.
As catalyst is just the Control panel.

Yes but look at the date and the driver revision. Both are newer than the official 8.7 driver. So either it's an early 8.7 hotfix or they might be 8.8 beta drivers that show up as 8.7. I don't know but I do know that these drivers are newer than the official 8.7 driver.
