Off all the single player FPS games half lives isthe best

I mean I have played PC FPS since the original Wolfenstein, round about 1990 and I have just replayed half life 2: Ep 1 and 2 and it simply is so much fun and creates such as good reality to plan in that you are almost transformed there. The characters and plot line rock as do the major action scened.

The car is cool running over the enemies and the stryder scece at the end and the really movie film ending make me long for episode 3.

The graphics sound and effects rock. OK the game play aint that long, 5 to 7 hours in total and you do not even get killed that often but the whole package is amazing.

Anyone else feel the same way. I mean the orginal half life was awesome for the time too.

The entire Half Life storyline is superb. Probably my fave PC gaming franchise.

I could play through the Ravenholm section all day, all those tricks and traps, who couldn't enjoy chopping zombies in half with circular saw blades

Well I was bored on Saturday and clicked on my HL2 icon. Been hooked to it all weekend, it's been nearly three years since I completed it and it feels like a new game.

Good stuff, although I was always a Deus Ex man personally.

why not have a look at the hl2 deathmatch online fps ,there is a thriving community and loads of custom maps to play

What we need is HL3, to raise the profile of PC gaming back to where it once was. None of this carpy episodic nonsense that doesn't advance the gameplay mechanic or bring anything new to the table.

True, but you have to admit that the quality of those episodes are high, especially in ep2.

Deus EX and Half life were voted the number 2 and 1 game respectively of all time the last time I looked (5 years ago).

Loved the first half life, hated the second one, just found the story boring and the weapons a bit underwhelming, with the enemies annoying.

I think my favorite FPS was soldier of fortune, great fun blowing legs and faces off.

Got it to a tee mate!

SOF was absolutely amazing and HL1, Opposing Forces, Blue Shift were all better.... then 2.
