Hey all my board has died, (im having a real bad week everything seems to be dying) but anyway, I bought the board about 18 months ago so I know my ocuk warranty has gone, but what period do gigabyte give you, some give you return to manufacturer warranties but I cant see what gigabytes is.

Appreciate any help

cheers

hopefully a serial will suffice - if they kick up a fuss just remember a retailer dosen't legally have to provide a receipt (as per the sale of goods act) so you don't have to by law have one to return a faulty item.

Without a receipt the last I heard they'd charge 20 notes as a sort of admin fee/punishment for not having proof/date of original purchase.

I remember Walter saying that they charged a small handling fee, but I don't think it's as much as £20. I think Abit charge nearer to that.

not sure which gigabyte website i got this from

GIGABYTE determines warranty based on the manufacture date. The manufacture date can be verified by the serial number found on the product. The first four digits after "SN" determine the year and week of manufacturing date. For example:

"01)04719331729028(21)SN0213030585" represents the 13th week of 2002
