360 Transfer Cable Lend Out Part Deux!

OK, so the original thread has now been closed. I was lucky enough to be the last person to receive a cable and am happy to carry the tradition on. (Does anyone know who's cable this is? I assumed Tobes's but he said it was no longer available? :confused: )

I have received a request for it so shall therefore post it on and keep this generosity alive!

I think the original owner just wanted to get his cable back and to be honest who can blame him lol it must have been in circulation for at least a year.

If anyone else wants to carry this on then i'd be very grateful to you :)

And of course i will pass the cable on when finished
 
Yeah I got it closed as I'm after it back now peeps. It's been nearly 12 months since it's been out and I have yet to use it! lol

The reason it was lent out was the waiting time for a transfer cable. I would assume it doesn't take very long for Microsoft to send them out now.
 
I've just called MS they said a kit would take weeks to arrive after they receive my request letter in the post :(

If I could join the list if someone doesn't mind lending the kit to me, how long does the transfer take, would be transferring my 20gb HDD to my new Elite?
 
Looks like we may have to just wait for MS to send the cables out :(

When mine eventually arrives and i've used it i'll happily pass it on :)

Any chance of this being sent myway? I'm getting a new 60gig drive just in time of the NXE and could do with transfering my stuff from my 20gig...
 
Right folks, I received a new 120gb HD this morning complete with transfer cable. I'm willing to lend out my cable for passing around to people that need it. I won't be able to post it out until Monday as I need to transfer my own stuff and can also only post things through my work.

Just to let you guys know, you can call MS on 0800 587 1102 (+44 20 7365 9792 for mobiles) and request a free migration kit for your 60GB HDD. I've literally got off the phone from ordering one :)
 
Very cool Kreeeee, was looking at getting a larger HDD as mine just got full last night after the dash update and downloading some rock band tracks and Sid Mirer's Pirates :p

I honestly don't know what makes people buy them off eBay, or wait for one to be passed around. You can just get your own for nothing (apart from a week or so wait)
 
I bought a 60gig today - and got home and tried the 120gb elite cable which didn't work!

I'll give them a ring tomorrow. Thanks for the handy info.

It's not the cable which doesn't work, but the software on the disc.
 
Guys I've ordered a 60GB HD to replace my 20GB launch day bugger. Now in the package there is a 'network cable' - is that the transfer cable or what? The product description for this hard disk pack is rather unclear.
