Whats the red line?

Had a day out with my girl friend and in a few pics I got this odd red line.

Could be the tentacle of a huge bug under the water! like an Ant..

Or some bizarre branch that is suffering badly from Chromatic Aberration

a water bollard so that the boat knows where to park, which is just a stick painted red.

guessing it was there when you took the pic, else it's a ghost stick - and you don't wanna unleash them!

It wasnt there when I took the pic. It only appears in pics with that boat :mad:

You can see where the braches would have come off it, thats a red painted tree!

I reckon its something to do with navigation for the boats, ie. Starboard=green, Port=red

Its a giant spider crab leg, on your sensor! :eek:

Not seen anything like that being generated by a camera before, it looks like a glitch in the creation of the image.... Or something photoshopped on afterwards.

If you've seen the film "The Omen" it could mean that the guy in the boat might come to a terrible end quite soon

Yep you got it.

It wasnt there when the image is shot and its in all the pics with that boat but images just before and after do not have it.

No idea what it is or what it could be, was wondering if anyone has seen or experienced anything like this before.

Gonna have to say its a glitch with the cam, just hope it doesnt do it anymore.

Surely it's just a red painted stick in the water. They use them on the Broads to mark submerged objects.
