abit ip35 help please

Hi I have an abit IP35 dark raider changed the processor today and now it wont power up at all i just get a red light on the mother board next to the main power connector.
Tried swapping back to the old processor but still the same nothing powers up not even the fans.
Have I knackered the motherboard somehow or is it something simple I am missing ?-I was carefull with earthing myself etc

Double check all connectors, you might of moved one by mistake.
Try a CMOS reset.

What is your current cpu and the new cpu your replacing it with.

current is a e2140 and its an e5200 its being replaced with.
Double checked all connections etc but no joy

would a cmos reset help if the board wasnt doing anything at all?

cheers rjc went back over the cables and the power button cable was a bit loose all fixed now
