Nvidia's latest stereoscopic 3D offering.

A active shutter system, glasses have built in microchip and usb rechargeable battery (50hr charge).
Reports say so far no flickering, no headaches, very easy setup.

Yes you need a new monitor (unless you still have a crt) 120hz refresh is needed (current lcd's only 60hz).
Samsung's 2233RZ and Viewsonic's VX2265WM both are offering 120hz 22" screens for RRP of $349, these allow for either high FPS gaming or/and the 3D.
CRT's, Some Plasma screens, DLP projectors, Also will work, unfortunately the good led dlp's are not available in the UK.

Driver support appears good too. Supported games
Reviewers raving about games like Left for Dead and Grid working awesomely. Even WoW has been enhanced by blizzard to offer extra options (special version on test realm).
Looks like Nv have really gone full throttle on making the software side rock solid.

Are ocuk planning on getting any in stock ?

I had one of those ELSA cards yonks ago (must be 7 years now)

I remember play Colin Mcrae and it giving me headaches after about 10 minutes :) The effect was very cool though (not recommended when drunk though!)

holy batman, i remember the elsa 3d ones i had yonks ago, 3dmark 2000 looked good then :p

so let me get this right

$199 for this glasses kit

but also you need a specific monitor too 120hz capable?

Oh yeah! i remember them they were ***** crap and you needed perfect vision if i remember.

Sounds and looks to be more of a gimmick than anything. This kind of thing has been around in various forms for years and never really taken off. It may have nvidia behind it but that doesn't mean this attempt will be any different.

ive looked at most of the reviews and this seems really good from what i can see if overclockers are getting this in which i hope they do ill be purchasing this.
